Mary Ann Knox was born 1796 in Ohio, possibly Upper Township. She married Rolin Hankins 29 Jul 1816 in Lawrence Co Ohio. To this union were 14 children, all of whom traveled with Rolin and Mary to Clinton Co Missouri in the 1840's, with the exception of Nancy Hankins m James Sherman as she had passed away in Ohio. Rolin and Mary were true pioneers, to venture the land with such a large family at hand. Known children of this family are as follows:

His parents were Francis Wilkinson and Elizabeth McDaniel.
