Robert Rivera, 48, of Pampa, passed away December 1, 2020 in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Byron Williamson of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Robert was born on June 1, 1972 in Ft. Worth. As a young boy, his family moved to Pampa. Robert would attend schools and live in both Pampa and Ft. Worth for many years. Several years ago, he moved back to Pampa permanently to be closer to family. Robert worked as a cook for several years at Sirloin Stockade and the Pampa Country Club. He also worked in the Auto Part industry where he worked at Advance Auto Parts for seven years. He was an avid sports fan supporting both the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys and he tried to never miss a game. He was also a self-taught mechanic who liked to work on cars and he also enjoyed grilling and barbequing with his family. Robert will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Rivera- Lopez; a sister, Mary Helen Rivera; a niece, Caroline Faye Villalpando and by several Aunts and Uncles.

His survivors include his girlfriend, Tracy Soria of Pampa; a daughter, Maria Rivera of Ft. Worth; a stepfather, Ricardo Lopez of Pampa; two sisters, Rosa Rivera-Gomez and husband Jesus and Angie Shook and husband Buddy, all of Pampa; three brothers, Ruben Rivera and wife Danette, Ricky Rivera and wife Anadelia, and Juan Lopez, all of Pampa; 18 nieces & nephews; and 6 great-nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association 8008 Slide Rd. # 12A, Lubbock, TX 79424.
