Charlotte Ann (Mitchell) Boyd was born February 26, 1940 in Claremore, OK to Clyde Henry and Elva LaVaun (Jantzen) Mitchell. She died December 1, 2020 at Autumn Leaves in Edmond, OK at the age of 80 years. Charlotte was reared and educated in Talala, Oklahoma. She graduated as the Salutatorian of the Oologah High School Class of 1958. She was married to James (Jim) Ray Boyd on October 14, 1960 at the First Christian Church in Talala, OK. They made their early home in Tulsa, OK where she attended Draughon Business School to become an airline attendant. However, she decided to become a secretary and she did that until she retired in 2008. As a secretary, she worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Monroe Middle School, and Hillcrest Medical Center - the Departments of the Burn Center/Home Health/55+/University Village. In her early years she attended the First Baptist and the First Christian Churches of Talala, OK. She later attended the First Baptist Churches of Skiatook and Owasso, OK.
She is survived by three children, Russell and Cindy Boyd, Doug and Janet Boyd and Paul and Lori Taylor-Hamm, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Yvonne Buster and husband Ron of Choctaw, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Funeral services were held December 3rd, at Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City at 3 pm. Graveside services were held December 4, 2020
