Merle Jolley Sulser passed away peacefully on September 13, 2007 in Scottsdale Arizona. She was born in Leeds, Utah on December 25, 1918 the fourth of nine children of Isabell Stirling and Ammon Jolley. She attended Dixie High School in St. George Utah and later lived and worked in Cedar City and Price Utah. After World War II she moved to Salt Lake City and met Joseph Casper Sulser, whom she married in November 8, 1947. Together they raised three children and lived in Salt Lake City Utah, Roswell and Alamogordo New Mexico, Novato and San Mateo California, Blackwater Australia, and Prescott Arizona. After the death of her husband she lived near her children in Reno Nevada and Scottsdale Arizona. Throughout her life she was a devoted to her family, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; and her love and laughter will be missed. She is survived by her siblings Lena Mayo and Doyle Jolley; her three children, Dennis Ray Olsen, Gregory Joseph Sulser, Susan Michelle Sturtevant; and her four grandchildren Shari Reiko Olsen, LeighAnne Maremi Olsen, Kathleen Alanna Sulser, and Carrie Lynn Smith. She will interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix alongside Joseph Sulser. A memorial will be held at the NMC of AZ on Saturday, October 13th.
