Ella White, 80, of Batavia, Il. passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Autumn Leaves of St. Charles. Ella was born on October 22, 1940 in Elizabethtown, IL., the daughter of Jessie and Della (nee. Estes) Keeney. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” White on June 23, 1972 in Las Vegas, NV.

Ella met Bob at the IV kings, a restaurant Bob co-owned in Batavia. From there a romance ensued and they were married in Las Vegas, June 23, 1972. Ella became a devoted farm wife, running for parts and helping Bob move equipment from field to field. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and canning. In her early years she was an avid tennis player. Bob and Ella travelled all over the US in their motorhome trailering their motorcycle. They enjoyed their time with several motorcycle clubs. The time spent with those friends attending “Wing Ding” conventions was memorable. Ella and Bob wintered in Arizona for many years and that is where she embraced the southwestern motif and started her collection of painted ponies. The past several years had been difficult for her, but she found joy in watching her beloved General Hospital and playing solitaire on her iPad. This past summer was spent feeding her kitty and dead heading the geraniums that she has been babying over the past several years. Ella spent the last 3 months at Autumn leaves, a memory care facility, in the loving care of nurses and aides who have a gift and a special calling to care for individuals with memory issues.

Ella is survived by her loving husband, Robert White; her children, Roger Smith, Jackie “Darlene” Gabor, Stepson Jami (Julie) White and Stepdaughter Kathi White; her eight grandchildren; Aaron (Lena) Gabor, Adrianna Hughes, Jordan Gabor, Holly (Tom) Holt, Joseph White, Andrew (Emily) Schroeder, Alex Schroeder and Camry (Brock) Peio; her ten great grandchildren; Henry, Jacob and Samira Gabor, Urijah Hughes, Ruthie and Nellie Holt, Bentley, Reghan, Archer and Brooks Peio, her two sisters; Linda (late Avery) Sneed and Charlotte (late Bill) Lane; her brother, Robert (Doris) Keeney, her brother-in-law, John (Mary Lou) White and Paul (late. Shirley) White, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Jess, Austin, Pat, Billy Joe, Sisters, Elaine, Betty and 2 granddaughters Catherine Jo White, and Mary Margaret White, in infancy.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Moss Family Funeral Home in Batavia, Il. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
