Mary L. Baker, 95, of Altoona, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away on November 30, 2020 at Amber Terrace at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born on March 19, 1925 in New Enterprise, daughter of the late Orlo and Grace (Settlemyer) Ferry. On February 8, 1946 in Martinsburg, VA. she was united in marriage to Herman “Ken” Baker; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2011.

Mary was a graduate of Replogle High School and a member of the Koontz Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and putting puzzles together.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Herman “Ken” Baker; and brothers, Kenny and Ronnie Ferry. Surviving are daughter Patty Guyer of New Enterprise; daughter Christine Baker and husband John Almerigotti of Manassas, VA; daughter Joy Lynn Robleske and husband Barry of Grand Haven, MI; sister Margie Ritchey of New Enterprise; as well as 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild.

Due to COVID-19 Regulations and Restrictions, services will be held privately. Interment will be in Koontz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Mary’s name can be made to the Koontz Church of the Brethren or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, LLC (weaversfh.com); Woodbury.
