Born 22 FebruAry 1848 in Cumberland, Maryland
Died 13 October 1933 in Washington D. C.
Enlisted in the 7th U.S. Cavalry on 3 August 1871.
During the time of the Battle of the Little Big Horn he was on detached service from his Company F, where he was a private under George Yates. That probably saved his life. He may have been at Powder River Depot or possibly back at Fort Abraham Lincoln.
