Max married Georgia Mae Brown on Wednesday, January 21, 1959, at Harrison; and together they were parents to three children. Max was a long-time automotive repairman and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
Max was predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Tammy Renee Long; four brothers Lawrence Long, Ruebel Long, Eugene Long, and Dorsie Long; and three sisters, Genarie Lanier, Rosala Morris and Veneda Smith. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgia Long of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tamara Long of Huntsville; one daughter, Tilda Long of Huntsville; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Randall and Emily Long of Coffeyville, Kansas; one granddaughter, Sarah Long of Huntsville, and one great-granddaughter, Ruby Long of Coffeyville, Kansas.
Private family services were held at Brashears Funeral Home with interment at Sparks Cemetery, Huntsville. Services were entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
