Daughter of William Lloyd LaVasque and Kate Bell LaVasque. She graduated from Cassville High School, class of 1947. She was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served in the daycare for twenty-plus years. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Samuel James Allen; brothers, James Edwin LaVasque and Jimmy Allen LaVasque; and sister, Inez Vaughan. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Couch; grandson, John (Mandy) Couch; great-granddaughter, Ansley Couch; and sister, Peggy Wilson.
