Larry Fred Brooks, 77, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Nov. 24, 2020 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Sept. 12, 1943 in Lemars, Iowa to Sam and Emma (Bohlken) Brooks.

Larry was a Vietnam veteran and served with the Army as an aircraft mechanic and was recognized for being a sharpshooter with the M-14 rifle. After an honorable discharge he worked at the Prairie Creek Marina as one of the first boat mechanics on Beaver Lake. He worked at Jones Truck Lines for 17 years while continuing to service boats. He opened Brooks Marine Service in 1992 and it is still going strong to this day. He enjoyed traveling and pheasant hunting and always lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by all.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his son, Jody (Brandi), their sons Zachary and Jacob, all of Rogers, Ark., brothers Ronald of Horseshoe Bend, Ark. and James of Gateway, Ark., granddaughter Chelsea Jardon of Dallas, Tx., and Larry's companion Rita Farrell of Rogers, Ark.

The visitation will be Thurs., Dec. 3, 2020 from 5-7 pm in Rollins Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be Fri., Dec. 4, 2020 at 10 am at Barron Cemetery in Vaughn, Ark.
