Florence M Lawrence passed away on Friday November 20, 2020 at 92 years of age following a brief illness with pneumonia. Florence is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alfred R. Lawrence, daughter Linda Bryan (Kent), of Broomfield, Colorado and sons Donald (MaryAnn) of New York City, Robert (Margaret) of Grass Valley, California and Richard (Amy) of Oregon City. Oregon.

Florence is also survived by her twin sister Mary F. Lang of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, granddaughters Jessie and Lillian, grandsons Matthew, Rob, Neil, Jon, nieces Dorothy, Lynn and nephews Doug, Bob and Ross. Florence was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and served in many positions through the years. She enjoyed travelling to 48 of the States including a cruise to Alaska, eight trips to Hawaii, cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean, where her favorite island was Grand Cayman. Her favorite sport activities were swimming, bowling, skiing and travelling. Having started work with the Telephone Company in Montreal, Canada she changed her career path to Secretary and Wedding Coordinator for 24 years at Pilgrim Congregational Church after moving to San Jose, California.

She enjoyed knitting hats for preemies in local hospitals, and hats and scarfs for homeless women and men. Florence will be remembered by her family for her gentle nature, endless love and patience, and kindness towards all others. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Heart Association in Florence's name.
