Sarah Ann Hodges “Sarah” Harris better known to many as “Aunt Sarah” of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 6, 1942 in Batesville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Henry Earl Hodges and Lenora Rider Hodges White. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and had retired form AP&L. Her greatest passion in her life were her children and their activities, whether it be a room mother, attending softball and baseball games, or substituting at the school, she was there. She dearly loved to be involved in all their sports and many activities.

Mrs. Harris died Sunday, November 29, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 78.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step- father, Wilbur E. “Bill” White.

Survivors: husband and best friend of 58 years, Ernest “Sonny” Harris of Pensacola, FL; son, Brad (Nita) Harris of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Stacey (Matt) Balka of Pensacola, Florida; sister, Sue Woods of Pine Bluff; granddaughters, Lucy Grace Balka, Maggie Rose Balka; grandson, Aiden Wesley Harris; nieces, Cindy Woods Henderson, Rebecca Woods Thomasson; great nephews, and a great niece; family by choice, Tony and Lee Ann Clay and their children, Wyatt, Caleb and Annslee.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Williams and Bro Brent Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday night from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Missionary, P.O. Box 34, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.

Pallbearers are Tony Clay, Wyatt Clay, Caleb Clay, Brad Harris, Trace Henderson, Juan Caple, Colton Caple, and Bobby Ashcraft.

Due to Covid 19, the family has asked that everyone attending please wear a face mask and social distance.
