Jo was born on September 23, 1924 in Mt. Auburn, Illinois, daughter of Orra and Lucille (Wheeler) Fair.
She was a 1942 Blue Mound High School graduate. During WWII Jo worked for Sangamon Ordnance Plant in Illiopolis, Illinois and Houdaille-Hershey Plant in Decatur, Illinois. She was the owner/operator of Jo's Beauty Salon from 1946 until the 1980's.
Jo married Daniel Robinson on November 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2010.
Jo was a member of Blue Mound First Christian Church and the Blue Mound Birthday Club. She enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, hummingbirds, sewing but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Jo was very proud of being from Blue Mound and she loved everyone.
Jo is survived by her children, Daniel Joseph "Blue" (Jackie) Robinson of Decatur, Illinois, Samuel (Loreane) Robinson of Decatur, Illinois and Cheryl K. Robinson of Taylorville, Illinois; sister, Mary (Ken) Nolen of Blue Mound, Illinois; grandchildren, Holli (Brian) Turner of Thompsonville, Illinois, Autumn (Michael) Long of Taylorville, Illinois, Jeanne Stohl of St. Joseph, Illinois, Joseph Griggs of Olney, Illinois, Jacob Griggs of Decatur, Illinois, Jennifer (Jeremy) Witts of Nixa, Missouri, Jaime Goodman of Mt. Zion, Illinois, Joel (Rebecca) Robinson of Pasadena, California and Colin Ayers and his companion, Alexis Smith of Taylorville, Illinois; 14 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Griggs; brothers, Tommy Fair, Ray Fair and Robert Fair; sisters, Daisy Fair and Norma Atchason and her grandson, Ronald Jacob Emerson.
