Dennis Ray “D.R. the Diesel Doctor” Stanley, age 75, of Douglasville passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. He was born on October 12, 1945 in Dickenson County, VA to the late Grady Russell Stanley and the late Claudie Irene Fleming Stanley. Dennis served in the United States Army in the 101st Air Borne. He was a 50 year member of the Campbellton Masonic Lodge and served as a Past Master. He was self employed as a diesel mechanic.
Dennis is survived by his daughters: Traci Sullivan and Brooke Stanley; granddaughter: Sidney Sullivan; great granddaughter: Briar Matthewson; mother of his children: Roseann Musick Stanley; brother-in-law: Danny Cox; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Barbara Ratliff, Susie Cox, Katherine Brookman; brother: Leland Branham.
Per his wishes he was cremated and A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.
