Marshall Ellis, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham under the care of Transitions Hospice of Raleigh. He was born in Bahama to the late Coy and Lucille Roberts Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lena Burroughs Ellis; 2 sisters; and 6 brothers.
Mr. Ellis was a resident of the Bahama Community for all of his life. He was retired from Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company and Tim Ellis Hardwood Floors. Mr. Ellis was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherman who enjoyed many fishing trips to Juneau, Alaska. He also loved working in his garden and most importantly he loved spending time with his grandson, Justin.
