GREENSBORO--Chester Floyd Ford, 89, died Friday in New Castle Community Care Center after a short illness.
Mr. Floyd was born in Somerset, Ky. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1972 after 37 years of employment. He attended Greensboro Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a daughter, Leah M. Martin (husband: Richard); a son, Herman R. Ford; two sisters, Minnie Pearl Ford and Dorothy Catron; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
His wife, Mary Pauline Ford, died in February. Three sisters and four brothers are also deceased.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Calling will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service and an hour before services Monday at the church.
