Elizabeth 'Liz' Irene Cain La Force--Age 74, a native and lifelong resident of Bayou La Batre, Alabama died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at home in Pensacola, Florida surrounded by family and dear friends. She was born on November 6, 1928 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Emma Cain; husband Cecil Floyd La Force, Sr.; one son Reed La Force; one daughter Granada La Force; one great-granddaughter Princess Cyndell Ariel Winstanley; three brothers Thomas Leroy Cain, Jr., James Cain and Herbert Cain. She is survived by two sisters Dorothy Lay and Theresa Williams; four loving children Rose Elaine (Alden) Bosarge, Cecil F. (Neecy) La Force, Jr., Tina La Force and Christopher (Kelly) La Force; ten grandchildren who knew her as Mamu, Melanie (Mark) Steele, Stan (Terri) Bosarge, Kristy (Tony) Musselwhite, Ashley (Barry) Winstanley, Brittny Nichole Bosarge, Granada La Force and Alicia (Adam) La Force, Jessica, Dominique, Christopher Jr. and Emma La Force; nine great grandchildren; special friend of the family Tara Morris. She was an active member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. The family would like to express their gratitude for the heartfelt prayers and support from family and friends. Pallbearers Mark Bosarge, Jr., Harry Lay, Braxton Toliver, James Cain, Richard Cain, Hartwell Zirlott. Honorary pallbearers Bobby Cain, Allan Watson and Jimmy Cain. Mass of Christian Burial Rites will be at St. Margaret's Catholic Church at 12 p.m. with interment at Oddfellow Cemetery on Wednesday, February 26, 2003.
