Joyce Lee (Pfaff) Fisher, 90, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Mountain City Nursing Home.

Born January 3, 1930 she was a lifelong resident of Frostburg, growing up in the Sand Spring’s area. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Emma (Caton) Pfaff.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Fisher; brother, Charles (Chick) Pfaff; sisters, Hilda Dishong, Agnes Minnick, and Jenny Emmart; son-in-law, Daniel E. Jones Jr.; sister-in-law, Lois Chabot. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Joyce attended Beall High School. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she retired from the Dietary Department. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.

Surviving are her daughters, Bonnie Smith (Greg), Pittsburgh, Susie Golden (Randy), Corriganville, Lynn Jones, Frostburg, and Barbara Patterson (Bill), Frostburg. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tracey (Golden) Miller, Wendy (Jones) Petenbrink, Rob Golden, Ryan Patterson, Ashley (Smith) O’Neill, Justin Patterson and Jamie (Smith) Coram; great grandchildren, Brock, Page, Blake, Ryan, Lexi, Olivia, Aubrey, Lincoln, Brooks, Emmey; a great great-grandchild on the way.

Joyce’s love of life had a special way of radiating to everyone around her. The most important thing to her was being surrounded by her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for each and every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be private.

Internment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park

Pallbearers are Rob Golden, Ryan Patterson, Justin Patterson, Donnie Petenbrink, Bill Patterson and Randy Golden.
