James Fischer, the son of John and Catherine (Penning) Fischer was born on April 30, 1957 in Sheldon, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Sheldon High School. After graduation he went on to Northwest Iowa Community College for Auto Body.
On June 8, 1979, he was united in marriage to Lori Tjeerdsma at Bethel Reformed Church in Hull, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple moved to Sheldon where they have resided their whole married life. Jim worked for Sudbeck Trucking as a milk hauler.
On Monday, June 8, 2020, Jim passed away at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 63 years.
Jim was a member of Living Water Community Church in Sheldon. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed working outside, fixing, and tinkering with things and enjoyed socializing with everyone.
Left to cherish Jim’s memory is his wife of 41 years, Lori of Sheldon; their children and their spouses, Jennifer, Eric , and Erica; six grandchildren, [redacted]; his mother, Catherine Fischer of Sheldon; siblings, Jolene Fischer, Lyle Fischer, Alan Fischer, Robert Fischer and Gary Fischer; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
