Carl Patterson, 48, of Kinta passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020. He was born January 18, 1972 at St. Mary’s of McAlester to Wayne Patterson & Vickie Carroll. He grew up in the Kinta area. He went to college at OSU in Okmulgee where he studied diesel mechanics. He worked numerous jobs in the oil & gas industry.
Carl was married to Laura Edwards from Stigler on April 17, 2004. He loved the outdoor life, fishing, music, spending time with his family; but most of all he loved his wife, kids, grandchildren, his brother, nieces & nephews.
Carl is survived by his wife, Laura Patterson of the home; 2 children, Mickey Edwards of Stigler; Kendra & Logan Powell of Stigler; bonus daughter, Michelle Rose of Keota; 7 grandchildren, Mason, Addie, MaKinley, Remi, Wyatt, Warren, Ellie, his mother, Vickie Carroll of Lequire; his dad, Wayne Patterson of Quinton; a brother & sister-in-law, Travis and Maranda Patterson & their children, Tristan, Trenten, Addison, & Lily of Quinton.
Carl is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl & Mary Jo Shaffer; George & Mary Lou Patterson; stepdad, Urban Carroll; a nephew, Chase Patterson; father-in-law Mickey Jones.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Sans Bois Cemetery with Reverend Jack Sloan officiating. Pallbearers include Tristian Patterson, Trentan Patterson, Logan Powell, Josh Carey, Mason Edwards, Mickey Edwards, Tyson Martin, Caleb Martin.
Burial will follow immediately under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
