MARTIN – Dolores M., “Toots,” 90, Autumn View, formerly of South Fork, died November 28, 2020 at Windber Hospital. Born August 16, 1930, in Lilly, daughter of Charles and Mary Ann (Lego) Shandor. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Angelo M. Martin, who died December 17, 1990; daughter-in-law, Sue Martin; sister, Marcella Diehl; and brothers, Charles and James Shandor.

Survived by son, Richard “Rick,” Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter, Angela Smay and partner, D.J. Honse, South Fork; grandchildren, Toni Martin, Aaron Martin (Robin), B.J. “Cliff” Smay (Lori), and Amy Norfolk (Odess); great-grandchildren, Roczen Norfolk and Harper Martin; sisters, Helen Torrez (Raymond), Benscreek; Mary Jane “Mamie” Lingafelt, Lilly; Jeanie Pastovic (Charles), Ohio; Sylvia Forst (Fred), Portage; and Rose Marie Noel, Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Toots was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. She worked as a seamstress, enjoyed tending bar at the Eagles and cleaned for the Dimond Funeral Home. She was active in her community and enjoyed volunteering with the VFW Post 7524 Ladies Auxiliary and spending time with friends at American Legion Post 653. She was known for her fun-loving and joyful nature. We will miss her warm caring smile and will forever hold in our hearts the love she so freely shared.

Honoring her wishes visitation will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant. Committal, St. James Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be planned for a time when we can again gather to offer a toast to a truly remarkable woman. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
