HOUSTON

Theodore T. "Ted" Houston, born March 2, 1916 in Mobile, AL, the son of Harry H. and Victoria C. Houston. He graduated from the University of AL in 1938 and married Marjorie C. Bloomfield in 1939. Served in the United States Navy in World War II and moved to Tampa in 1944 while serving in the Navy. Upon completion of United States Naval Service he went to work for U.S. Phosphoric Products, Co. as a research chemist. He retired from USPP and started his own consulting company and later became a technical manager for ConServ Chemical Corp. He was a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie B. Houston; son, Donald R. Houston; daughter-in-law, Maya Kamnotsky-Houston; grandchildren, Sean M. Houston and Tara S. Houston; two brothers, Jacques Houston and John Houston. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home with a visitation prior from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday. A private entombment will be held at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. His request was that donations be made to Overseas Medical Aid Group or LifePath Hospice.
