Beverly Walters Bishop, 70 passed away on November 27, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.

Beverly was a proud graduate of Central High School in Memphis and attended MSCW (Mississippi State College for Women), and Memphis State University.

She was a caring and generous person always willing to help her family and friends.

Her adult life was spent working for two major companies over a span of 28 years. Beverly worked in the franchise division of Holiday Inns, Inc., and then in office management for Ashland Chemical in Memphis.

She was an expert in family genealogy, and traveled the world on Carnival cruises where she was a member of their elite Diamond club.

Beverly also enjoyed her many trips to the Smokey Mountains and was a dedicated UT Volunteer football fan.
You could also always find her cheering for her grandchildren at their many soccer and softball games.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Bishop; daughter, Cary (Scott) Adams; grandchildren, Hunter Adams and Haylee Adams; sister, Patti Brassfield and Vicki (Greg) Wittbecker; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nita Walters.

She deeply loved her entire family, especially her husband, daughter and two grandchildren.

The family will have a private visitation and graveside service officiated by Rev. Don Johnson at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at an appropriate time in December.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations to The West Cancer Center in Germantown, TN, or to Methodist Alliance Hospice in Memphis, TN.

Her services have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis TN.
