Georgia confessed her love for Christ and joined the Saint John Baptist Church in Mineral, Virginia at an early age. She was a member of the Senior Choir and rendered her helping hands whenever needed. She loved the Lord and had a great love for everyone.
She was educated in Louisa County Public Schools. She worked at Rockingham Sleepwear Corporation in Mineral and also as a domestic worker.
Georgia, affectionately known as Sis, was a lovable, quiet, and kind-hearted person. Her hobbies were sewing, listening to music and watching TV.
Georgia leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted son: Roy Johnson (Christel) of Mineral, Virginia; two nieces: Joyce Johnson-Allen of Mineral, Virginia and Minister Cora Johnson of Charlottesville, Virginia; two nephews: Minister John Johnson of Bumpass, Virginia and Edward “Pa” Jones of Richmond, Virginia; a loving and devoted sister-like cousin, Darlene Lewis of Mineral, Virginia and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, November 28, 2020 in The Sun Chapel @ D. D. Watson, Louisa with Rev. Walter Pleasants, eulogist.
Interment will follow in Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery. Mineral, Virginia.
