Eugene "Gene" D. Rector, 88, of Northglenn/Thornton went home to be with Jesus on November 25, 2020. He was born on October 21, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Gene married on September 12, 1956 and had 64 wonderful years of marriage. He started working at age 16, beginning at the Nelson Meat Market in Clarinda, Iowa. He served 2 years in the Army from 1952-1954. He returned to Clarinda and worked for the Lisle Corporation then moved to Tulsa, OK in 1957 to attend school. In 1958, Gene began work as an airline mechanic for Frontier Airlines and then for Continental Airlines for a total of 37 years before his retirement.

He deeply loved the Lord, his family, and his friends. He enjoyed sharing anything that had to do with airplanes, jets, automobiles, and motorcycles.

He will be remembered for his dedication to the Lord, his unending love for his wife, his unconditional love for his family and friends and his compassion for those in hospitals and nursing homes. He was always there when anyone needed him, no matter the time or day.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth and his sisters, Evelyn, and Gloria.
