John James Norton, 74, of Palm Coast, Florida, died November 21, 2020. He died at Flagler Advent Hospital with his family by his side. John previously lived in Damascus, Maryland. John was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on October 27, 1946. His parents were Jim and Margaret Norton of Rockville, Maryland.

He attended Richard Montgomery HS in Rockville, Maryland. He graduated in 1965. After graduation, John served in the Air Force for four years. He was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. He continued his education at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. He enjoyed college football, traveling, his dogs, Taz and Diego, and his beloved family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patti Norton, his daughters Kimberly Norton Fabry of Mt. Airy, Maryland, Julie Norton Zell and her husband Steve Zell of Carlsbad, California, and his son Christopher Norton of Atlanta, Georgia. John has five grandchildren who love their Pop Pop dearly. His grandchildren are Hunter, Cooper, and Piper Fabry and Jordan and Shayne Zell who were treasured by their grandfather. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Norton and Joe’s wife Debra, sister Ann Neal and her husband Steve Neal, and his sister Mary Norton Eastep. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Norton and his mother, Margaret Norton.
