Joe Cleveland (J. C.) Glenn, 83, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away Saturday at his home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, March 31, 1937 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Mt Nebo Cemetery. Bro. Steve Holloway and Bro. David Hays will officiate the services. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

J. C. worked for thirty years as a journeyman pipe fitter. After retiring from the pipe line he worked as a propane truck driver for seventeen years along with being a cattle farmer until he fully retired at age 80. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. J.C. served thirty-four years of his life as a deacon of the church.

He will be remembered as a devoted Christian and husband of sixty-five years to Wanda Green Glenn. J. C. had a deep love for his children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved by his family, friends, and church family. He always had a testimony to everyone he met and would ask them if they knew Jesus as their personal savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Glenn; brothers, Austin Glenn, Liegah Glenn, Johnny Marshal Glenn, Jack Glenn; his sister, Hazel Glenn-Mayo.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Glenn, his daughters, Joann Shannon, Donna Quarles (Mickey), Sonja Tullos (Mark); son, Keith Glenn (Caryn), and his grandchildren, Kimbra Jones, Joanna Michelle Gipson (Josh), Dustin McKenzie, Hailey Quarles-Mayo, Wolf Glenn, Chase Glenn, Kari Stanley (Brad), Britt Tullos (Christy) and Taylor Tullos, along with 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin McKenzie, Britt Tullos, Kane Blakeney, Kody McKenzie, Chase Glenn, and Josh Gipson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Quarles, Mark Tullos, J. W. Holder, Jerald Ainsworth, Robert Ainsworth and Randal Pittman.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to Evelyn Chatham for the beautiful floral arrangement.

A special thank you to Dr. Keith Lay and his staff at Bay Springs After-Hours Clinic. Dr. Josh Blair of Hattiesburg Heart Clinic, Pro-Care Home Health and Compassas Hospice for their love and care during his final days.
