Mrs. Katherine Nana Parsons Miller, age 90 of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Hwy 16 North, Wilkesboro with Pastor Brady Hayworth, Pastor Donnie Shumate, and Pastor Kerry Nichols and Jeff Nichols, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Katherine was born December 20, 1929 in Wilkes County to Com and Cola Parsons. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and was involved with youth activities. She worked at Smitheys Supermarket for years and loved all her customers. She loved her daughters and grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. The family would like to thank her very special nephew, Jeff Nichols who provided excellent care and love in her last years. Also, a special thanks to Jo Handy, who was always considered a third daughter and provided many food dishes and lovely flowers throughout her entire life. She was an avid Tarheel fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Athel Dustin Miller and a sister, Mozelle Parsons Nichols.

Katherine is survived by two daughters, Brenda Kay McGlamery and husband Buster of Wilkesboro, and Debbie Miller and husband Jerry of North Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Darren McGlamery and wife Michele, Rodney Miller, and Dusty Miller; five great grandchildren, Dalton McGlamery, Kaylee McGlamery, Katelyn McGlamery, Sage Miller, and Skylee Miller.

The family request social distancing and face coverings.
