Delores was born the second of three children to William and Rosie Black and accepted Christ at an early age. Her timely God-inspired wisdom, generosity and guidance produced lasting fruit around her. She served the Lord in many ways such as the Church Financial Secretary, Sunday School Teacher & a lover of Bible Study.

She loved reading books and learning new things and often imparted the importance of education to her children. She had been employed at Michigan Bell (AT&T) as a draftsperson for over thirty years until her retirement.

She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, her husband of nearly 50 years, Eddie, her children Caeolyn (Roy), Edward, William (Nancy) and Eddie Jr.; seven grandchildren, family and friends.

The Funeral Service was held at the Peoples Community Baptist Church in Westland where the Reverend Vincent Matthews officiated. The Penn-Orr Funeral Home was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
