Passed away peacefully in the Rosamond Wing of the Almonte General Hospital on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Survived by his wife Irene Walford of 62 years and his children Arthur "Sparky" Gilbeau (Rita), Susan Tate (Paul), Barbara Harbison (Dereck) and Dale Gilbeau (Betsy). Grandfather of fifteen and great-grandfather of six. Also survived by his siblings Archie, Annie Duff (Ken), Jessie Mallais (late Art), Vera Cole (Delbert) and Laura Barrie (late Bill) and sister-in-law Virginia and brother-in-law Art. Predeceased by his siblings and in-laws Violet Donnely (Charlie), Joe (Jean), Leo, Ethel LeClaire (Ray), Pearl Hurdis, Mabel Roberts (Ernie) and two babies Mancel and Bobby. Art was a long time member of the Mississippi Golf Club. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Affleck officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
