Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mary E. Wilkerson, age 53, of Kite on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 30th at Kite City Cemetery with Rev. Morris Brantley officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, November 29th from 6 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are encouraged for your safety and the health and well being of others. Pallbearers are Clay Jones, Preston Podmanicky, Ethan Henry, J.P. Henry, Shaye Shepard, and Danny Shepard.
The daughter of Luther and Jessie Shepard Scarboro, Mary was a lifelong resident of Kite. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was a big Georgia Bulldog fan, and Christmas was her favorite holiday. Family was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, L.P., Jerry and Joe Scarboro; and two sisters, Sue and Boogie Scarboro.

Daughters: Mary Kay Crowley (Otis) of Collins, and Helen Ann Wilkerson of Arkansas.
Sisters: Dorothy Leaptrott (Carl) of Swainsboro, Cathy Scarboro of Swainsboro, and Helen Podmanicky ,of Dellwood
