TOOELE -- Mrs. Winnie Lou Gordon Steele, 77, Tooele, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Monday at 2:45 p.m. in a Tooele hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1887, St. Paul, Neb. to James Philander and Emma Richards Gordon. Married to Jesse Fielding Steele June 2, 1909, St. Paul. Moved to Utah 1911, Tooele resident since 1923. Taught school in American Fork, Tooele. Survivors: husband; sons, daughter, Dr. John Gordon Steele, Nephi; Jesse Fielding Steele, Winona, Minn.; Mrs. Lawrence (LaPrele) Rasmussen, Salt Lake City; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, sisters, Harry Gordon, Kent, Wash.; Mrs. A. T. (Inez) Nelson, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Will (Minnie) Greenlee, Scottsbluff, Neb. Funeral Thursday 1 p.m., Tooele Fifth LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Tate Mortuary Wednesday 6-8 p.m., Thursday one hour prior to services.
