Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Bartlett Cemetery, Bartlett, NE with Mick Scarlett officiating. There will not be a reception to follow at this time due to Covid-19.
Karen Kay (Scarlett) Kelly, daughter of William R. and Bessie I. (Esau) Scarlett was born on October 26, 1942 at Petersburg, NE.
She graduated from Wheeler Central High School in 1960.
On May 18, 1962 Karen was married to William E. Day at the Methodist Church in Bartlett. To this union DeAnna and Wyatt were born. They lived in Bartlett, but later divorced.
She then married Robert D. Kelly at the Methodist Church in Loretto, NE. They were divorced.
Karen worked at Ferrall Gas as a bookkeeper. She also worked for Teilke Sandwiches, and Wilke Landscape Center.
Some of her enjoyments included gardening, horses, and dogs.
Karen is survived by her daughter DeAnna (David) Reiman of Naper, NE; Wyatt (Jennifer) Day of Columbus, NE; five grandchildren: Anthony Timm of Sioux City, IA; Emily (Alex Ellison) Timm of Tilden, NE: MyKayla (Jesse Blum) Timm of Norfolk, NE; Abagail Reiman of London, England; Allen Day of Shelby, NE; five great-grandchildren: Teegan, Leyton, Charii, Jaxson, and Kolton; brother William (Kathy) Scarlett of Bartlett, NE; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin infant brothers.
