James A. Sexton, 85 of Chatham passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born Feb. 3, 1935 in Farmersville, the son of Elmer and Helen Gudgel Sexton

He married Mary Chandler on Nov. 28, 1954. He was preceded in death by one son, Eric; one son in law, John Baisden; one sister, Norma Jean Allgood; two brothers, David and Russell Sexton.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; one daughter, Pat Baisden; two sons, Bob (Carrie) Sexton and Mark (Belinda) Sexton; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Sexton; several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Springfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Chatham Christian Church, 9897 S Main St, Chatham, IL 62629.
