Harold Wayne Pierce, 73, of Monett, MO, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, while at his home with his loving family at his side.
Harold was born on August 2, 1947 in Elgin, IL, son of the late Marvin and Genevieve (Hansen) Pierce. Growing up in Elgin, Harold graduated from Elgin High School with the Class of 1965. He furthered his education in trade schooling to become a Commercial Painter. Harold served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee for over forty years working for NuWay Construction, Ozark, MO. Harold was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Monett, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
On August 16, 1968, Harold married Kathleen Ann Harris in Elgin, IL. They have been blessed with over fifty-two years of wonderful memories made together. To this union, five children were born.
Harold is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of the home; one son, Harold Pierce, Jr., of Monett; four daughters, Georgina Lynn Snyder and husband John, of Clinton, MO, Gwen Fillinger and husband Chris, of Monett, Amy Blair and husband William, of Monett and Katherine Curby and husband Jerahmyah, of Pierce City, MO; one sister, Sylvia Holloway, of Bluford, IL; seventeen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville. Reverend Chris Carver will be officiating. It is requested to all in attendance to please wear a mask and social distance as best as possible. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
