Anna Josephine Kahs Nanneman, died on her birthday July 11 1938 at her daughters home in Salisbury MO.
Anna was born July 11 1860, in Quincy IL to Johann "Georg" and Anna Buschmeier Kahs. After her fathers death her stepfather, Johann Stolhaus, moved the family to the Wien community where they were among the early settlers there.
On January 27, 1880, she was united in marriage to Joseph Nanneman in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Joe died January 4, 1936. After the death of her husband she went to make her home with her daughter Mrs. Tom (Elizabeth) Marek.
Of the children born to Anna and Joe six of them survive at the time of her death; Fred J, Nanneman, George Nanneman, and Mrs., John Rohlfer of Bynumville; Mrs. George Krumpelman, Marceline; Joe H. Nanneman, Hamden; Mrs. Thomas Marek of Salisbury; She also leaves forty grandchildren and two great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, an infant and a son John who died in June of 1914.
Burial was in St. Mary of the Angle's church Cemetery Wien MO.
