Obituary for Virginia Wireman Duncan
Virginia Wireman Duncan, age 82, of Knox, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at her home. Virginia was born February 4, 1938 in Ora, Indiana. She had worked for many years as an operator and dispatcher for the United Telephone Company. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Waymire (Brent) of Cicero, Indiana, a granddaughter, Heather Hutton (Nick), three great grandchildren, Brayden, Chesni, and Boston, and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ludwig. Also left to cherish her memory are, her special friend Norman Marsh, her friends at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and her special friends at Monday and Wednesday Exercise Class at the Community Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ludwig and Mildred Ludwig Stoughton, her step-father, Richard Stoughton, her first husband, Mitchell Wireman, and her second husband, J.L. Duncan.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2pm (CT), with visitation one hour prior to services at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
