OBITUARY
In Memory of Keith Wesley Anderson, 71, Murfreesboro, TN.
- Born: August 4, 1949
- Died: October 23, 2020
Husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
USAF Veteran
Believer in Christ
Preceded in death by his wife Terry Anderson, Father, Robert L. Anderson, Sr., Duluth, MN, and Mother, Margaret Ekroot, Barnum, MN.
Survived by Robert L. Anderson, Jr., Little Canada, MN, and Jeffery Anderson, Spring Lake Park, MN, Linda (Dale) Reno, Duluth, MN., Kent Anderson, Florida, David Anderson, Hermantown, MN, (former) Sister-in-law, Bonny Anderson who keep in contact with him over the years, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Keith and his wife Terry both had Multiple Sclerosis and eventually spent the later parts of their lives together and most of their marriage confined to wheelchairs. They moved to Georgia and eventually settled in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, because the mild climate seemed easier for them to find comfort.
Terry's struggles with MS advanced much more quickly than Keith's. He helped care for his wife as best he could for many years, while dealing with his own failing strength, then remained faithfully by her side with the help of many caregivers and friends, until her passing.
Keith rarely complained about his confinement to his wheelchair or his MS. He used it as a way to share his faith and hope in Christ with others; to encourage them to persevere in their struggles. To work out their faith and salvation with Joy.
Keith enjoyed photography and taking pictures. He was an enthusiastic artist and author. He wrote from his experiences to encourage others.
Keith started a website about Trusting and finding faith in God. He had it translated into several languages and received connections from around the world. In 2018 he was finishing a fictional story about a man with MS and his journey. Again, he wrote to encourage others.

Because of his MS, Keith lives quietly and secluded, far from Duluth, MN, where he grew up. He never used social media, he didn't travel, and he was not very connected to his extended family.
In the mid-2000s, Keith reached out to me to ask me to look at his website and give him feedback from a web designer's and Christian's perspective. He wanted to know if it was effectively written.
We would reconnect every couple of years, but life always seems to move faster than our intentions to stay connected. When we talked or emailed, he would share his journey with me and I would update him on our family tree. He would tell me about his current projects and what he was writing about and he would ask me about work, family, and my faith. He blessed me by saying I wasn't just his nephew, but his brother in Christ.
The last time I talked to him was earlier this summer. I'm glad we were able to talk and catch up. He told me about his wife's passing and how difficult it was, but that she had a strong faith in God's mercy and grace and was now at peace.
He called because he wanted to congratulate me on becoming Mayor, which he thought was pretty cool. Apparently, my mom was talking me up in their latest conversation.
Now, as I reflect on my uncle Keith and his legacy, which could easily go unnoticed, I am compelled to tell part of his story and make sure this quiet and faithful man's story doesn't go untold.
I am comforted that he is now at peace and proud to call him a brother in Christ. Rest in Peace, uncle Keith.
