Thomas Allen “T.A.” Haynes, of Plain View, VA passed away November 27, 2020 in his home. He loved hunting and fishing all his life and passed his skills along to his grandchildren. T.A. worked for Chesapeake Corporation for 35 years in the maintenance department. He also helped to start the Lower King and Queen Fire Rescue Department, serving as chief and president and was a life-long member.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otis Wade and Eunice Haynes as well as his brother John Wayne Haynes.
T.A. is survived by his wife of 55 years Darinda Roane Haynes; his children Betsy (Chris) Hagerty, Matthew Haynes and Kathryn Cobb; grandchildren Haley, Zachary and Brianna Hagerty, Luke, Colby, Tristan and Logan Haynes, Dylan Cobb, Christian Hanchett and Austin Babinski-Haynes and a great-grandson Landon Kidd.
A graveside service, will be held for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Shackelfords Chapel United Methodist Church, 3727 Buena Vista Road, Shacklefords, VA 23156 or Lower King & Queen Fire Rescue, PO Box 187, Shacklefords, VA 23156.
