Obituary of Edward Albert Shipman
Edward A. Shipman age 26, or Eddie, as he was affectionately known by many, passed on at his home November 16, 2020.
Eddie is survived by his parents, Doreen (Rick) Moore of Oneonta NY, and Roger (Mercedes) Shipman of New Berlin NY, his grandparents Ed and Bev Watson; his siblings, Roger (Bobbi-Jo) Shipman, Andrea (Ken) Ferguson, Brittany (Brianne) Hart, Jared, Ashley, and Jessilyn (Devon) Moore, Ryan and Isabella Funk; and his beloved Chi-Chi and Josie; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Taken from us way too soon Eddie, despite many health problems from birth, was always able to brighten everyone’s mood with just his smile and awesome sense of humor.
He had many hobbies: cooking (one of his first loves, he was very creative), boxing, basketball and archery at The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club. He was also an avid baseball player and fan, his favorites being The Oneonta Tigers (The Oneonta Outlaws) and The Boston Red Sox. Eddie enjoyed playing golf and "hitting the range." He really enjoyed the time he spent working at The Oneonta Country Club.
Eddie LOVED Hunting, Fishing and ♫ LOVING EVERYDAY ♫, especially with his dad and his uncle Jeff.
He loved spending time with his friends and family laughing, singing, joking, playing pool or enjoying a good board game.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eddie’s name to The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club.
A Celebration of Eddies life will be held at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St, Oneonta, on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 3-5pm.
