On Thursday, November 26th, 2020, George William (Bill) Jordan, loving husband and father of four children, went to be with the Lord at the age of 77. Bill was born August 24, 1943 in Rogersville, TN., to Hattie and Floyd Jordan. He dedicated 38 years of his life to East Hamblen County Volunteer Fire Department, where he was Chief for 14 years, when he retired as Chief to his grandson Ricky Purkey. He married Joyce Spears, July 1st, 1965. They raised two sons, Chris and Robert and two daughters, Tina and Angela. Bill was known by everyone for his heart and will to help others. He would do anything to help someone and was a hardworking man. You could not get him to rest, just was not in his spirit. He loved fishing, Tennessee Football, camping with his family and his two dogs, Rusty and Blackie. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Floyd and mother, Hattie, brothers, James, Paul, Clifford and Johnnie, his sister, Pearl and his son Chris. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Jordan. Children; Tina, Angela and Robert. Grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Ricky, Brooklyn, Kimberly, Trevor, Maggie and Katie. Great Grandchildren, Colton, Callum, Silas, Rowan, Sawyer and Della. Sisters, Susan and Annie, his brother Max and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be announce later. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
