Zeff Burks Jr., 84, of Glendale, AZ left this earth to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 30, 2007. His survived by his wife Mary LaVerne, one son, David "Stoney", and daughter-in-law Lana. Three daughters, Brenda, Karen, and Denise. Mr. Burks had two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy, and a son Ricky. Mr. Burks will be forever remembered for his kind and gentle way. He touched many lives as a result of his stong example and dedicated ministry. Mr. Burks was a decorated WW II Veteran, Civil Service retiree and enjoyed golf, The Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Dear husband and father, we will miss you. We are proud to carry on your legacy. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2007, from Noon until 1:00 P.M., at the Cathedral Christian Center, 16635 N. 51st. Ave., Glendale, AZ. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M., also at Cathedral Christian Center. Burial will be at Phoenix Memorial Park Cemetery, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ. The Burks Family is proudly being served by Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary.
