Beverly Jo Ann Carpenter, daughter of the late Norman Ayres and Venida McCart and raised by her grandparents James and Margaret Goodnight, whom she adored with all her heart, she was born March 9, 1943 and went home to be with her Lord on June 4, 2017 at her home in Ellsinore. She had attained the age of seventy-four years, two months, and twenty-six days.
Beverly had resided in Ellsinore since 1985 and was formerly of Granite City, IL. She was a devoted Christian and member who loved her church family at Ellsinore Community Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed singing praises to the Lord, dancing, spending time with friends and family and most of all spoiling her many animals.
On September 1, 1984, she was united in marriage to Bob Carpenter, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2002.
Survivors include one sister, Cheryll Pounds (Curtis) of Wildwood, MO.; one nephew, Jeffrey Pounds of Rock Hill, MO.; and many relatives and friends who will mourn her passing.
She was cared for and embraced by Scott and Judy Friedline and their children Cheyenne, Stacey, James, and Jessica and their families.
