Final Rites Held for S. D. Brothers At Baptist Church Funeral services for S. D. Brothers, 64, were held Monday, January 28, at the First Baptist church, Levelland, with Rev. Franklin E. Swanner, pastor, officiating. His death earlier that day was caused from a heart disease.

A native of Brown county, Brothers had lived in Levelland for 19 years. He was formerly caretaker at the local school and had been in bad health for several years.

Survivors include his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Shannon of Kermit, and two grandsons.Five sisters and four brothers also survive. They are W. A. Brothers and Mrs. C. J. Lamb, Levelland; C. C. Brothers, Patricia; J. L. brothers O'Brien; Mrs. N. D. Allgood, Phoenix, Ariz; Miss Mattie brothers and Mrs. R. M. Butchee, Amarillo; Mrs. O. H. Willis, Melrose, N. M.; and M. A. Brothers, Albany.

All the survivors except Mrs. Allgood were in Levelland at the time of his death. Other out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were two aunts, Mrs. John Whitaker and Mrs. C. B. Collier of Midland.

Serving as pallbearers were Guy Lowrey, Otto Bentley, Bill Blakely, L. A. Robertson, Lefty Martin and Roy Riley. Plains Funeral Home directed burial in the Levelland cemetery.
