Thomas Felix Newman, 65, passed away November 24th, 2020 in Houston Texas. Known as “Tommy” by his family and friends, he was born in Houston on January 13, 1955 to parents Felix and Myrtle Bordeaux Newman. Tommy was raised in Channelview, Texas, attended Channelview High School and still resided in Channelview until his passing. Tommy worked for many years at Flukingers on Market Street in Channelview. He was a man of faith and attended River Side Church in Channelview, as well. Tommy was proud of and enjoyed writing poetry. He will be missed deeply by his remaining family and friends. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Spencer and Myrtle Bordeaux Newman; brothers, Paul Newman, Roy Newman and Rodney Newman. He is survived by his brother, Richard and wife Caroline; sister, Mary Elizabeth Newman; sister-in-law, Brenda Newman; numerous extended family members and friends. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation Monday, November 30th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM at San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
