Nov. 8, 1959-April 10, 2005
Steve departed this world to be comforted and embraced by his loving God and Savior.
He was born and raised in the Edmonds area, where he attended Woodway High School. After graduation, he built and operated a small business for several years but eventually returned to school, graduating with a Master's degree from Seattle Pacific University with a major in family therapy and a specialty in child therapy. Though he had no children of his own, his sensitive and loving personality and his warm and sincere feelings about children gave him what was needed to be recognized as a wonderful and caring therapist. For the past several years he had been working at the Everett Naval base with children of military families struggling through the difficulties brought on by the stress of military life. For his own pleasure, Steve loved to fish and kayak and camp in the San Juan Islands. He appreciated listening to all types of music and loved sporting events.
Steve is survived by his mother, Joanne; his father, Bob (Susan) Garrison; his sister, Kathy (Jay) Hare; his nephews, Kevin and Mike Hare; and a very close family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, all of whom he loved very much.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., April 20, at Acacia Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle.
