On November 11 at 9:05 PM our precious Russell Daniel Brown went home to be with the Lord.
Russell Daniel Brown was born on the dining room table in the house on the creek on April 4, 1931 in Bargaintown NJ. His mother was Margaret Brown, his father Charles Russell Brown. Russell attended the grade school in Bargaintown and then traveled to Atlantic City every day where he received his diploma from Atlantic City Vo-Tech in June 1949.
Russell met and fell in love with Arthetta Nicholson – both having attended a weekend in A.C. where they represented their churches. They were engaged the following year February 1949 and married on October 28, 1949. Russell & Arthetta have just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.
Russell applied for a job at Burlington PSE&G in 1953 & worked as a painter, welder and supervisor but loved working with his hands & went back to working with the men & enjoyed his 38 years of service. Russell enjoyed travelling & spending 4 months in Florida during the Winter months.
Russell is survived by his loving wife Arthetta; two children; the late Dianne (Jay) who passed away ten years ago, and Dan who recently lost his wife Lisa; He is also survived by his grandchildren Janne (Jason), Todd (Laura), Ryan and Morgan; great grandchildren Colin, Ellie and Lily; dear brother to Ruth Shales; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday November 18th from 10-11 AM at the Asbury Methodist Church, 2492 Andover Rd., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. A funeral service will take place Wednesday 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
