James Harriger Dies From Fall
SLIGO - James McCurdy Harriger, 81, of Sligo RD1, died Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Rudell Harriger, as the result of a fall through a barn floor.
Born in Monroe Township, Clarion County, September 21, 1887, he was the son of Henry and Sarah Myers Harriger. He was married in 1912 to Bessie Bertha Griffith, who died in 1965.
Surviving are one son, Rudell, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three brothers, one sister and an infant son preceded him in death. Mr. Harriger was a member of the Licking Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Rev. Edward McKee of Clintonville will officiate.
Interment will follow in Licking Presbyterian Cemetery.
