James Hamil b. 7 Nov 1785 in VA and died 1867 in Iowa.
He married Sarah Jane McClurg (b. 1802 in Blount Co., TN and died in 1876 in Louisa Co., Iowa. Her Find A Grave Mem. # is 38735851.
Sarah Jane was daughter of William McClurg & Mary "Polly" McCreary McClurg.
I cannot find where James was buried. Assume beside his wife, Jane.

On a familysearch.org/pedigree resource, Robert Hamil's father was shown Nathaniel Hamil (1697-1758).

His son Samuel Hamil, 1791-1857 married Catherine Best, To this union were born: Mary, Samuel, Robert, Daniel, David, John Ferguson, Katherine, Elijah and Sally.
His grandson Milo Smith Hamill along with several other family members are buried at Rankins Cove Cemetery at Rankins Cove Methodist Church between Chattanooga and South Pittsburg, TN.
