Sgt. Robert John White,
age 49, of Austin, died Friday, April 11, 1997.

Sgt. White was a member of the Austin Police Department for the past 27 years. He was also a Viet Nam Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Clara White and son, Brian White, both of Austin; parents Albert and Irene White and brother, David White, all of Buffalo, New York.

Mr. White will lie in state from 12:00-9:00 p.m., Monday.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday at Wilkey-Amey-Clay Funeral Home with Monsignor Fred Bomar and Reverend Dean Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockne, Texas.

Pallbearers will be, Officer Andy Anderson, Officer Gilbert Cardenas, Officer Perry Connor, Officer James Green, Det. Neil Neyens, Sgt. Pete Niedzialek and Det. Mike Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
